ABOUT WSSF
The World Snowshoe Association (formerly known as the ISSF) is a non-profit, international sports federation, that was founded in 2010.
The primary mission of the WSSF is to serve as the international governing body for the Sport of Snowshoe Racing and to assist in the organization and governance of the various national governing bodies for Snowshoe Racing around the World.
The WSSF Congress meeting is held annually, usually just prior to the the WSSF World Snowshoe Championships.

It was founded in 2010 and has held annual championships around the world in several countries.
Mission & Goals
The primary mission of the WSSF is to develop to develop snowshoe activities at all levels across the world.
This includes but not limited to grass roots recreational events, junior development, adult learn to snowshoe events and international championships.
Our goal is to have as many people around the world as possible passionately enjoying snowshoeing as a winter health and fitness activity.

Cole Crosby
DIRECTOR/SECRETARY - UNITED STATES
Cole has been a competitive snowshoe runner and ultra runner since 2012, being on the US National team multiple times along with his top finish of 2nd place at the 2022 National Championships. Cole has an immense passion to grow athlete opportunities and help grow the media outreach and overall brand scope of the sport of Snowshoe Running to help it reach a wider audience.
Cole is a multiple finisher of numerous ultra marathons.
Cole’s professional background encompasses brand-building, sales, marketing, and business development for various athletic brands, retailers in running specialty, golf, resort wear, and athleisure. He holds a Master’s in Recreation Administration from SUNY Cortland.

David Robinson
DIRECTOR/TREASURER - CANADA
David is a lifelong multi-sport athlete in numerous sports including hockey, skiing, snowshoeing, triathlon, windsurfing, golf and tennis.
He has been competing in triathlon since 1982 and has completed over 100 triathlons and dozens of other endurance events around the world.
David is a retired corporate insurance broker who also manages Snowshoe Canada and several other running events.
David lives in Mississauga Ontario, married to wife Janice for over 43 years. They have one daughter and two grandkids.

Muddasir Mir Nazir
DIRECTOR/VICE PRESIDENT - INDIA
Muddasir Mir has been involved in Snow Sports for the past 30 years starting as a competitive athlete, national level skier, Executive Member of Winter Games Federation of India, Executive Council Member of Ice Skating Association of India. Mir was part of Team India contingent as an official in the Winter Olympics 2010 at Vancouver Canada .
He, along with Abid Khan founded the Snowshoe Federation of India and has been instrumental in Snowshoe promotion in India. Snowshoe federation of India with 20 Active State Units has been regularly holding state and National championships for over last 7 years. Muddasir has graduated from the prestigious Delhi University in India and holds an international MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Fordham’s Graduate School of Business, New York. He is currently CEO/Director of the Strategy, Finance, Sales and Marketing Divisions at a leading Renewable Energy Company in Jammu and Kashmir in the north of India .
Muddasir is an avid recreational skier and loves to ski with his two kids, Aania and Mikael.

With a membership, you will support the WSSF's ongoing initiatives to grow the sport, provide opportunities for racing through World and Continental championships, and support our efforts to make the sport of snowshoe racing a future Olympic Sport.
As the WSSF serves its members and their interests, members are entitled to have a say in the direction of the organization and are included in WSSF communication through periodic newsletters.
Depending on the level of membership, additional benefits are provided as a thank you for your contribution. These include WSSF embroidered merchandise, special invitations to member-only events and VIP seating.
